The project has been around for more than 40 years, and it has helped many young people reclaim their life, freedom and dignity through education. They have stayed true to the motto of empathy, respect, encouragement, and advocacy. And they are just as committed to changing society’s perception about youth as they are to changing lives.

Youth often comes with misconceptions and the Youth Project aims to raise these issues in the youth. The Youth Project was conceptualized by a group of concerned citizens from Diepsloot who wanted to make a change. It’s a platform where youth can have their say, share their experiences and get to know about what’s going on in their neighborhood. The project is run by volunteers who themselves are youth and understand the pulse of the neighborhood best. So join us and take your voice to create a better society!

There’s a stigma attached when it comes to counselling children and adolescents. That is, that you have to be an expert in psychology to be able to help them through their issues. Through creative programs, life skills classes and social events like movie nights and dances, we strive to make them feel comfortable in their own skin so that they can realize their full potential.

In addition to providing services tailored towards youth, we are also committed to ending violence against women and children. We believe that every individual should have the right to live without fear of violence or harm, and as such we provide counseling services for victims of abuse. We also work tirelessly on raising awareness about the issue through community outreach programs so that no one is left behind.

Youth unemployment is a major concern today. It has become an important factor in the overall development and future of a country. To prevent this from happening, Diepsloot Youth Project was formed in South Africa.

DYP is a non-profit organization that seeks to empower disadvantaged youths by offering them job opportunities, life skills training, and financial literacy classes so that they can stand on their feet and contribute positively to the society. The youth project teaches them about various employment opportunities such as Internship Programs, Apprenticeship Programs, etc.
