Diepsloot is a township in Gauteng but it has more in common with a slum. It’s full of old buildings, narrow lanes and poor people who spend most of their lives there. But today, Diepsloot Youth Project wants to change that. In partnership with the local government, DYPRO is investing in the development of young people from this area so they can break free from poverty and realize their full potential. They’re providing them with programs that will enable them to advance in school and gain job skills, so they can one day become leaders in the community. And they’re doing it by donating everything from books and uniforms to computers and bicycles so that these young people can have a better life for themselves.
