Youth unemployment is on the rise and chances of finding a job are getting slimmer. To make matters worse, most youth find employment through casual means. However, there’s a solution to all these issues – join DYP! This project aims to shed light on the pertinent issues faced by youth in the 21st century and offer them solutions that will help them get back on their feet. Youth from all backgrounds are welcome to attend our workshops, discussion groups, exhibitions and more so as to foster an environment of positivity and support.

As a Youth in Diepsloot, you are already a victim of violence, discrimination, and name-calling. You might not even realize it yet. But with the Diepsloot Youth Project’s (DYP) help, you can become an activist and help others overcome these challenges too. The DYP is a youth-led non-profit organization that works to empower marginalized youth through education, community development, and advocacy.

With programs like the Phindile Siyini Project, where young people learn about HIV prevention and how it impacts them on a personal level, or the Deo Project where they learn about violence against women and how to prevent it in their communities, the DYP is making a difference for the future of South Africa. Let’s work together to eliminate hate speech and increase inclusivity!

An initiative by Diepsloot Community Development Committee, this project is aimed at creating employment opportunities and skills development for youth in the area. It has been running since 2009 and has yielded tremendous results in this regard.

The project entails giving youth a chance to learn new skills, making them employable, and also providing them with a sense of pride and self-worth through involvement in developmental projects. The aim is to build their confidence and help them reach their fullest potential so that they can contribute to the society in ways that will make its future bright.

Youth unemployment is a major concern worldwide. Youth Project is trying to solve this problem by providing employable skills to youth so that they can get a job and also learn new things. The Youth Project runs projects in Diepsloot, Pretoria and Johannesburg where young unemployed youth are provided with valuable employable skills such as resume building, interview skills, etc.

DYP offers a wide range of services that help young people develop the skills they need to succeed in school, find a job, and become contributing members of society. But our commitment goes beyond providing essential resources; it centers on changing the way we think about youth development. We believe that by investing in young people today, we can help them overcome obstacles and realize their full potential tomorrow.
