While great teams are built on an agreement to work together that breeds trust, Diepsloot Youth Projects teaches its youth how to build teams by honing skills like communication and collaboration. Every week, the youth volunteers meet at a local restaurant and order meals for each other. The group then discusses food items they can make for one another—either by themselves or with the help of their friends. Next, they have to decide on ways to present their dishes. It’s not easy carving out time from your busy schedule but each volunteer is committed to making sure their team gets along well too!

Everybody wants their team to be a well-oiled machine that executes every project flawlessly. But what do you do when your teams are not functioning? When morale is low, and every activity seems to be more of a struggle than an opportunity? Diepsloot Youth Projects is here to help! We offer organizational and leadership skills training for youth so that they can become leaders in their community.
