Diepsloot Youth Project offers a training and technical assistance program that teaches youth skills they can use in their future careers. This program is specifically designed to prepare young people for entry-level jobs that require basic skill sets such as customer service, data entry, and computer repair. In addition to these soft skills, the project also focuses on teaching youth leadership and community building skills that will be essential as they go out in the world on their own.

Diepsloot is one of the most economically deprived township‘s in South Africa. It is also home to a large number of vulnerable youth. The Youth Project was initiated by a local social entrepreneur to address these two issues at the same time. Through its training and technical assistance programs, the project aims to equip young people with skills, knowledge and leadership development that will enable them to create meaningful change in their lives.
With support from Diepsloot Youth Project, youths are learning how to identify and plan for their own financial security, build their capacity for decision-making and leadership development -all while building a sense of community pride as they help others get involved with the project themselves!
Youth are the future and it is essential that they get their share of attention to ensure that they grow into responsible citizens. Youth Project is a registered not-for-profit organisation that aims at addressing this social issue through training and technical assistance.
Diepsloot Youth Project has trained over 10,000 youth about different fields like art, dance, craft, IT etc in order to cultivate their skill sets and see them vocationally oriented. They have also conducted countless leadership development initiatives across various categories like health workers/ medical aid volunteers, women leaders etc.
The organisation is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology which helps them interact with the youth in a better manner.
