The project has been running for over 15 years now, and has made use of around 25 000 pieces of clothing since then. In this way, it not only keeps our land clean and beautiful, but also provides us with a handy resource for any kind of crafting we may need.

Meet Corrie, a 9-year-old girl from Diepsloot who believes that she is ‘bad’ and should be punished for her crimes. She has been living with her mother since she was born, and through the Youth Project, she is able to learn how to make good decisions and find a way to become a well-adjusted youth.

The Youth Project offers free counseling sessions for children who have been affected by crime or violence. They also offer a safe space where children can reflect on the traumatic experience they have gone through, in an environment of acceptance and understanding. Children attend these sessions with their parents so that they can talk openly about their experience without any judgment or stigma attached to them.
